The news of the satellite launch made a great impression on Homer Hickam, who studied in high school in the city of Colwood, which is located in a provincial area of West Virginia. Then he realized that space had become much closer to humanity, so now all his thoughts are focused on exploring near-Earth space.<br />
Homer starts building his own rocket. This idea is supported by both teachers and friends of the guy.
